I don't know about other countries , but main problem of India is religious wars , and politicians who use people for their personal benefit.... religion is the only thing which makes people to join together in a group and which divide people in different other groups..
if you are very religious and serious for your god , please tell me one thing ...

--> quite difficult but it is possible , and it will take time,root cause of the problem is the religion only , so better if we focus on nation education , nation love and stop wrong religious practices...The education which divide one human from another is always harmful for unity of nation , so better to focus on humanity and nation love related education...from childhood we should teach them nation
love and there is a need to keep restriction on wrong religious activities.
---> one thing which we must understand is , we will get good or bad output according to our good-bad work, no god will save you because of your prayers , if you will do BAD KARMA then definitely may be not now but in future , you will get worst output for your BAD KARMA...
--->after doing bad karma , if you do prayer 1000 times , it is of no use , you will get only bad output from universe ...
check history , every bad person got hard punishment for their bad karma....indirectly it is given by that one energy which is running this universe..
